In the beginning…
We believe that God exists within the Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God created the world, and it was good. God and people lived in perfect relationship. We enjoyed peace with each other and with all of creation. When man stepped outside of God’s will we upset a delicate balance and everything changed. We no longer have that perfect relationship with God, we have to struggle for peace with our fellow man and the harmony that once existed between man and nature has been disturbed. We also believe that God desires to reconcile this broken world to Him. He wants to bring about restoration and He wants us, His church, to be a part of that healing.
The Bible
We believe that the scriptures are integral to our faith here on Earth. We believe they are the inspired word of God through man. We are confident that God uses the Bible to guide us, restore us, correct us and support us.
The Gospel
We believe the good news is that God made a way to reconcile His people to Him. That way is the Gospel. Jesus is the Gospel. It is through Jesus that we can be forgiven of our sins and freed from the bondage of sin and death. It is also through Jesus that we learn of God’s good plan for the world we live in and our fellow man. We believe that the Gospel brings good news for the whole world
Jesus
We believe that God fully manifested himself here on Earth through Jesus. We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, blameless in life and perfect in His sacrifice on behalf of the world. We believe Jesus offers the hope of forgiveness of sin to all people and that the life Jesus lead as well as his teachings, offer hope both for the present world and for the life eternal.
The Church
We believe that people are compelled to respond to the gospel and that our response should take form as the church. We believe that we should work in community to carry out the teachings of Jesus from scripture and the will of God as communicated through the Holy Spirit. We believe that as members of the Church we should love and support each other as well as those outside the Church. We should give of ourselves sacrificially through time, service, tithes, offerings, prayer and fasting, in order that we might glorify God through carrying out the work of the Kingdom of God.
